YMCA bring down the curtain on a bitterly disappointing season tomorrow when they entertain Bridlington in their final Yorkshire I fixture (3.00).

As the club’s Colts side have their big Yorkshire Plate semi-final at home to Yarnbury on Sunday, none of the ‘young guns’ will be considered for the first team this week.

However, caretaker coach Mark Eastwood has plenty of experience at his disposal as the first team attempt to finish the campaign with a bit of pride after two maulings in the last two matches.

Tomorrow’s game also marks the 10th anniversary re-union of the Tetley Bitter Vase victory at Twickenham, and just one player from that team remains in Neil Walker, who will be in action at No8 against Bridlington.

One man the YM could have done with earlier this season is prop Brad Dobson, who has indicated his willingness to play tomorrow and will be joined in the front row by hooker Martyn Dalton and Paul Gregson.

Second row Ross Housley is again fit, as is scrum half Ben Wulf, who may find himself getting a run-out in the back row.

Noel Scanlon and Gareth Greenwood are also available and will probably form a formidable centre partnership.
