NO FEWER than eight of YMCA's Under 17 Development Squad are in action on Sunday for West Yorkshire.

Greg Johnson, who has been on the fringe of the Under 18 squad has been called into the Under 17s to join his Laund Hill teammates Stuart and Stephen Dyke, Josh Lumb, James Bell, Liam Orton-Blue, Gavin Stead and Sam Hodge.

West Yorkshire won their last game against Central Yorkshire 22-19, and will be keen to keep on the winning track at York RI (1.00).

With so many of the YMCA side in county action, the Laund Hill Under 17s are without a League game this weekend.

Further down the ladder, the club's Under 15s enjoyed a good win over Baildon, beating their Bradford rivals 32-20.

The eager squad went into a brief pre-game training session which proved beneficial as Edward Dixon soon ran through Baildon's back for the opening score.

The home side hit back however with two tries to take the lead, and almost added a third from an interception.

And when the defence turned the Baildon player over the ball was whipped out to Alex Pickering who ran the full length of the field to score in the corner.

With five minutes remaining Ryan Kaye ran in to score a third for YM, but Baildon again levelled just before the half-time whistle.

Dixon scored his second after the re-start with Josh Willans adding the conversion, and when Willans then picked up from a maul and crossed for his side's fifth try, YM were almost home and dry.

Baildon did come back to score again, but David Jenkins chased down a kick through to touch down for the final score of the game for an excellent win.

Willans was named man-of-the-match.
