YMCA are on the Cup trail tomorrow with a visit to Pocklington in the third round of the EDF Senior Vase (2.15).

And head coach Carl Thewlis intends sending a full-strength side to Percy Road.

"We watched Pocklington last week, and I'm certainly not taking them lightly even though there are in the division below us.

"They have a good set of backs and some strong forwards, and only lost by a point last week.

"They have been performing at a higher level in recent years, and although they are currently mid-table in Yorkshire II, we are picking a full-strength team with a view to progressing to the next round of the Vase."

New winger Rob Brown, from Moortown is expected to partner Chris Cowling on the opposite flank and Thewlis is looking for a big game from centres Mava Iosefa and Stuart Morton, pictured left.

"Stuart's had a tough time in recent weeks, but quality players are always quality, and I'm sure it won't be long before he finds his feet again."

There is a question mark over hooker Martyn Dalton who came off last week against Old Brods with a back injury and he faces a late fitness test.

But raring to go is new Swiss signing David Guegue, a hooker from Geneva RUFC, who may get the nod if Dalton fails to prove his fitness.
