Raheem Sterling continues to make headlines as our domestic season comes to an end and the transfer betting markets kick in.

You really don’t want to see a 20-year-old in the media day in, day out, when it’s all about contracts and who he is prepared to play for and who he isn’t.

All you want to know is that the player is concentrating on his game, developing and playing better.

With Sterling, that can only be good for his club and for England.

I personally hope the situation settles down and Sterling eventually stays at the club and produces his best form for Liverpool, but whether the Anfield supporters will be quite so forgiving we’ll have to wait and see.

Right now with Skybet, Sterling is 5/4 to be a Manchester City player by the time the transfer window is closed on September 3. He is 13/8 to stay at Liverpool.
