It was great to see Juventus knock holders Real Madrid out of the Champions League.

I’ve said before in this column that I love to see a real team effort paying off rather than that of a group of individuals doing their own thing.

Real Madrid, despite their star-studded line-up were pretty poor in their semi-final second leg and the 1-1 draw cost them.

The final between Juventus and Barcelona on June 6 promises to be a fantastic game.

I have to say I just fancy Barcelona, but Juventus are certainly not to be overlooked – even though they were 40/1 at the outset and Barca were favourites.

Barcelona have quality, but when a team does as well as Juventus have done to reach the final, you almost think they are destine to win it.

I could watch Andrea Pirlo all day.

He strolls around the pitch for Juventus just oozing quality and passing the ball with ease when everyone else seems to be rushed into getting rid of it.

What a player, and I am looking forward to the final.
