After a comfortable win against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats were there aspects of the victory that you felt needed addressing ahead of tomorrow’s away trip to Warrington Wolves?

Against Wakefield we came out of the blocks really strongly.

We started with lots of energy and we did what we were looking to do after practicing all week.

However, what we have to look at is the way we let Wakefield back into the contest just by making some cheap errors in possession.

We had spoken about dealing with the ball on our own terms, but unfortunately we didn’t do that at times.

We gifted the ball to Wakefield in good areas and gave our opposition the chance to use the ball in good positions on the field for them.

What was pleasing from my point of view was that having put ourselves in a hole we then showed that we could get back out of that hole.

We ended the game scoring some good tries and that was really pleasing.

Scott Grix bagged the fastest Super League hat trick against Wakefield. How impressed were you?

Grixy’s hat trick was certainly faster than any I ever scored.

Basically the tactic early on was to give the ball to Grixy.

But to be serious, in the end I was happier to see that he had said afterwards that it was an important result for the team.

He obviously felt that winning at Wakefield was what mattered most and that pleased me.

It is an achievement that he can look back on when his career is over.

It is something he can tell his kids about and maybe even his grandchildren when he is in his rocking chair.

Warrington have started the season strongly and, given the games over recent seasons, you will know what to expect from Tony Smith’s side?

Warrington have had a good start and Tony has had to put up with his fair share of injury problems already this season.

That was before last week when Warrington suffered one or two more, and it wasn’t good to hear about the serious hamstring injury that Ben Evans suffered.

However, we know what Warrington will be like and they continue to be an attacking team who want to move the ball about.

In terms of that we know what we will face, but we have to look at what we expect from ourselves.

In the end I am not too bothered about how Warrington are doing, what I have to do is ensure that we meet our expectations and meet the challenge in front of us.
