1 TAMARA ECCLESTONE (pictured), daughter of billionaire Bernie, the Formula One chief, lives in a £2m mansion that he bought her. Oh yes, he also gives her £100,000 a year. Which is nice.

She got her first job working on the F1 magazine – owned by him. Now she reports on F1 racing for Sky, but is not happy.

“Before I get too typecast as Miss Sport Presenter, I'd like to try something else. I want a chat show – I like talking. I want to make my own way.”

Yes, love. Of course, you do.

With her first pay cheque she bought a £17,000 Rolex.

Like you do. “It made me realise how hard my mum and dad had to work for things.”

Give me strength.

When I got my first pay cheque I bought three light ales and a bag of crisps. My mum took the rest for my keep.

In her interview, Tamara gives the impression she is living so far from reality that she could be on the moon. Maybe she gets it from her dad.

2 The other week I began to watch a low budget horror film on a cable channel about men who paid to watch fat women eat on an internet website. Laugh? I nearly gave up chocolate biscuits. Totally unbelievable, I thought.

Then I read about Donna Simpson in America who is 39 years old and weighs more than 600lbs (43 stone).

Men around the world pay to watch her eat on an internet website. Their fees pay her food bill of £400 a week. Her aim is to reach 1,000 lbs (half a ton) in the next two years.

“In a typical day I’ll eat four burgers and fries, a loaf of bread with peanut butter and jam, four servings of meatloaf and mashed potato, a large pizza, a chocolate cake with ice cream and cream, 12 cupcakes, two cheesecakes and fizzy drinks.”

I don't know who needs help more, Donna or the blokes who watch her.

“I love eating and people love watching me eat,” she said. “It makes people happy and I'm not harming anyone.”

Of course you are. Some time in the next two years you may just explode.
