ORIGINAL artworks and prints will be among the items going under the hammer next week to help raise money for Holmfirth Arts Festival.
A similar auction last year raised more than £5,000 in support of the inaugural festival held last summer.
Artists, festival supporters and sponsors will be at the Huntsman Inn above Holmfirth on Thursday to stage a repeat performance.
The auction will showcase work by many of the artists based in and around Holmfirth. Forty per cent of anything sold on the night will go to the festival organisers.
Events for this years Arts Festival begin on June 6 and signs are that this year, the festival diary will be even bigger than last year’s.
