THE Co-operative Society’s annual exhibition has opened at Huddersfield Parish Church, with plenty of interesting work to be seen.
Tutor Betty Thornton has drawn the best from her students. Local landscapes include trolley-bus days in Huddersfield and there are several good landscapes from this area and further afield.
Pencil portraits, too, form part of a big selection, which you can still manipulate your way round, despite the scaffolding in church for roof repairs. The show runs until October 26.
P APOLOGIES for an error last week, which stated that Picture This, the arts exhibition at Hall Bower Chapel, High Lane, Newsome was taking place last weekend.
It is, in fact, this weekend and is organised by members of Hall Bower Chapel Art Club and the Chapel’s Flower Club.
The exhibition is being opened today at 11.30am by Mr John Denham, and is open to the public today and tomorrow 11am to 4pm.
