THREE artists are joining forces to bring a varied exhibition to Marsden.

Amanda Hunter Castle, Julie McManus and Rob Greenwood will be exhibiting their work at A Month of Sundaes from tomorrow until March 31.

Rob Greenwood has returned to painting after taking early retirement from Kirklees Council in 2009.

Rob, who lives in Almondbury, has an affinity with places and is inspired by landscapes and natural forms including the human figure.

Joining Rob is Julie McManus, whose work is concerned with the figure and the subject of the human condition.

Julie paints in different sizes using oils and acrylics. She experiments with drawing, producing several on-the-go pictures which will be taped onto the gallery walls.

The final artist throwing their work into the mix is Almondbury’s Amanda Hunter Castle.

She is currently practising fine art painting and drawing and her work explores how and why people in society fall into the pattern of serving other people’s agendas.

All three artists studied Art and Design at Bradford, albeit some years apart – Rob graduated in 1981 and Julie and Amanda in 2009.

This is the first time that the three artists have exhibited together.
