THE countdown to Christmas already on sale for a candlelit evening at one of the area’s historic houses.
Candlelit Christmas events at Oakwell House in Birstall have always been popular with tickets selling out fast.
The evenings include a candlelight tour of the house which is furnished as it would have been in the 17th century, demonstrations of traditional crafts and a buffet based around authentic period recipes.
The Elizabethan manor house will be decorated in traditional style for Christmas.
The dates are December 10, 11, 17 and 18 from 7.30-9.30pm. Tickets are £20 each from Oakwell Hall, on: 01924 326240.
