Aristocrats and cockney charmers collide in Batley Amateur Thespian Society's spring musical.

The society, which celebrated its centenary last year, is gearing up to perform Me and My Girl at Batley Town Hall in May.

The 1930s musical, written by Noel Gay, tells the story of a cockney gent who discovers he is the new Earl of Hareford.

Bill Snibson is set to inherit great status and wealth — but can he betray his Lambeth roots and play the role of Earl? Will he leave his beloved Sally behind to pursue his destiny?

The award-winning show is known for it's catchy, upbeat numbers including The Lambeth Walk , The Sun Has Got Its Hat On and title song Me and My Girl.
