The 100-strong Huddersfield U3A mixed choir will fill the town hall with festive sounds, mince pies and piping hot coffee at its Christmas concert on Sunday, December 7.

A carol concert with a difference, the event is being staged to raise cash for the Mayor of Kirklees’ charity the Kirkwood Hospice. Seating in the hall will be replaced with 20 tables, each seating 10 people. Coffee and mince pies are being provided but audience members are free to bring their own food as well.

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 2.30pm, are £5 for 150 minutes of singalong seasonal songs. The musical director for the choir is Eric Cooper and the accompanists will be Corinne Lord and Fran Morgan.
