Every year Hobsons Chorus – a 16-strong male voice choir – stages a concert in support of the Clayton West Methodist Church as a thank you for allowing them to use the building for their weekly rehearsals.

All funds raised by the concert go to the church where the choir’s musical director, Jane Hobson, plays the organ for Sunday services.

This year’s concert will be tomorrow at the church which is at the bottom of Victoria Street in Clayton West.

The concert starts at 7.30 pm and tickets which can be bought at the door are £7 for adults and £3 for children and include refreshments.

By popular request Jane, as well as conducting the choir, will also perform as a soloist along with several of the choir’s regular soloists.

Accompanying them and the choir will be Craig Schofield and the programme will include a tribute in song and words to the men from the area who gave their lives in the First World War.
