A showcase of stunning images by photographers from around Huddersfield will open on Friday.

The Huddersfield Photo-Imaging Club will host its annual exhibition for 2015 from March 27 to May 9 at Huddersfield Art Gallery in the town centre.

The exhibition will feature the best work of amateur photographers with more than 140 framed, mounted prints and around 80 digital images.

The gallery, in Princess Alexandra Walk, is free to enter and open 10am-5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am-4pm on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Formed in 2004, the Photo-Imaging Club has more than 60 members, who meet once a week to share their interest in photography.

It meets every Wednesday, 8pm-10pm at Kirkheaton Conservative Club.

Members take part in interclub competitions and the club is affiliated with the Yorkshire Photographic Union, which features members' images in its annual exhibition.
