There will be some ghostly goings on in Huddersfield during half term, not to mention something horrible lurking in the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

Timed to coincide with Halloween, the Lempen Puppet Theatre Company is producing Little Frankenstein, a gentle horror story for children; and the resident Chol Theatre is hosting a Shuddersfield Ghost Trail on All Hallow’s Eve itself.

The puppet show, on Friday, October 31, and Saturday, November 1, at 11am and 2pm, is aimed at five to 10-year-olds and tells the tale of puppeteer Frank Stein who creates a real-life puppet. Little Frankenstein is the company’s 20th production. Tickets are £6.

The Shuddersfield Ghost Trail, in association with Discover Huddersfield, leaves the LBT at 2pm, 7pm and 9pm (the earlier trail is for younger audiences and families) on Friday, October 31.

It will take walkers through the town’s streets and alleys, revealing stories of its ghostly past. Tickets are £6.
