Incredible images of galaxies far, far away can be seen in an exhibition of scientific photography at the Barnsley Civic theatre’s Gallery@.
The Royal Photographic Society show, International Images for Science, also explores the world of the miniscule, with fascinating pictures of subatomic particles, microbes and biochemicals.
Using electron microscopy, thermography, and a whole raft of cutting edge imaging techniques, the photographs explore the nature of matter itself.
The exhibition closes on Saturday, February 7, and there is free admission to Gallery@.
