Children aged between seven and 12 are invited to join a series of summer holiday theatrical workshops at Slaithwaite-based Satellite Arts.

Each workshop will focus on a different skill – from conjuring and acting to music-making and puppetteering – and will take place at The Watershed, Bridge Street.

Gill Bond, from Satellite Arts, explained: “These sessions will build confidence and skills in lots of performing arts disciplines and are a must for any child who is interested in arty stuff.”

The Summer Daze holiday activities are an extension of the arts group’s work in schools and will take place morning and afternoon from Monday, August 18 to Wednesday, August 20. The sessions cost £6 each or £30 for all six.

On Saturday, August 23, Satellite Arts is to perform the family show Fishy Tales at 11.30am in The Watershed. Tickets for the summer production are £4 and £3. For more information or to book a workshop place/ticket call 01484 848072 or email hello@satellitearts.org.uk
