The glitz and glamour of 1930s Hollywood is coming to Leeds next week as all-singing, all-dancing musical Top Hat takes to the stage.

The Olivier Award-winning musical, based on the Oscar-winning 1935 film starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, will run at the Leeds Grand Theatre from Tuesday December 23 to Sunday January 11.

Packed full of Irving Berlin’s greatest hits including Cheek to Cheek, White Tie and Tails, Let’s Face the and Dance, Puttin’ on the Ritz and of course Top Hat, it tells the story of Broadway sensation Jerry Travers (Alan Burkitt) who dances his way across Europe to win the heart of society girl Dale Tremont (Charlotte Gooch – last seen in Leeds as Penny in Dirty Dancing).
