THERE’S more than a whiff of nostalgia about a show at Dalton St Paul’s next week.

Members of the church’s amateur dramatic society invite you to join them in turning back the clock to the war years for an Evening of Forties’ Entertainment which will be staged in the church hall on Friday and Saturday.

For this year’s spring production Dalton St Paul’s Amateur Dramatic Society has invited along the likes of Carmen Miranda, the Andrews Sisters and the veterans of Dad’s Army.

Dig out your own Forties clothes and wear them to a show which offers entertainment from a time when music and laughter were vital.

The show is produced and choreographed by Judith Holden, who is more usually seen on stage as a cast regular. Working with her as musical director is Dorothy Newlove, with Jean Delaney as the pianist.

Performances are at 7.30pm and your ration book ticket (£5 for adults and £3 for children) includes a hot supper.

You can get them from Dennis Beaumont on 01484 532051.
