EDDIE Ruhier will swap his 1200cc motorbike for the controls of a theatre organ on Sunday.

Huddersfield-based musician Eddie is just as comfortable at the organ console as he is on two wheels. He returns to the Rex Cinema in Elland to play the monthly afternoon concert.

Eddie began his musical training years before he qualified as a motorcycle instructor. He was five years old when he first got his hands on a keyboard and played for dances at RAF stations in Lincolnshire while he was still at school.

Later Eddie trained as an ice dance organist at Streatham in London and for 20 years had a residency at the Silver Blades ice rink in Birmingham.

Since moving to Huddersfield, Eddie has played regularly at the ice rink in Bradford and continues to appear on the concert circuit.

His concert on Sunday begins at 2.30pm. Admission is £4 and the ticket price includes refreshments and a film novelty.
