GETTING MAD AND GETTING EVEN. Annie Sanders/Orion Books £9.99.
AS you can imagine by it’s title this is a ‘chick lit’ which features the tale of Flick and Georgie who run the Domestic Angels agency for the rich and idle.
One day they are asked to turn private detectives by a handful of suspicious wives.
But what starts as a prank or two gets a bit out of hand for single girl Flick while mum-of-one Georgie’s life crashes when she too becomes a woman scorned and eventually seeks revenge on a man who, quite frankly, deserves all he gets.
Thankfully, the baddies get their comeuppance and the goodies – the girls – get the lives they dreamed of. It’s as far removed from reality as you can get but it one of the best girly, escapism books I’ve read in a long time.
