LAST call for anyone wanting to learn to play a brass instrument.

If you’ve always fancied having a go or haven’t played for years now’s your chance.

There’s a course in Brighouse tomorrow with another on February 20 which aim to get people playing.

The brass music courses for beginners and learners of any age are being run by Mode for.... and are at the bandroom of the Yorkshire Co-op Brass Band on King Street, Brighouse.

They will be run by Simon Kerwin and Tabby Clegg.

Even if you have never played an instrument before, you’d be welcomed at the courses where you could get to learn anything from cornet, horn, baritone, euphonium, trombone or tuba. Alternatively, if you already play an instrument why not join the training band course?

The two courses will culminate in a performance on Saturday February 20 in Brighouse Civic Hall where those who have been on the courses will feature alongside Yorkshire Co-op Brass Band in a concert called Show Music. The music starts at 7.30pm.

The courses cost £20 per day or if you want to do both days then the cost is £25.

Combined Beginners and Training Band meet tomorrow from 10am to 1pm with another course on February 20 from10am to 2pm.

It is hoped that this will be the first of many courses. For details log on to www.modeforpublishing.co.uk, e-mail: info@modefor.co.uk or call 01422 200003.
