WORK by local artist Diane Challenger is on show all this month in a town centre coffee shop.

Hammond’s Yard Coffee Shop (formerly known as Peaches) is continuing its successful series of art events with an exhibition of Diane’s paintings which use bold, vibrant colour in a range of media and surfaces.

It has been a busy year for Diane whose work has been exhibited this year at Holmfirth Artweek and at Longwood and Birdsedge. Her work is also on permanent display at the Renaissance 2 gallery in Golcar.

Diane’s acrylic on canvas pictures include semi-abstract landscapes and florals while her glass and silk paintings explore the subtle gradations of colour possible with these media.

The pictures include originals and limited edition prints, some framed and some on contemporary canvas boxes. Decorated mirrors are also on show.

Diane also makes greetings cards and jewellery which can also be seen at Renaissance 2.
