IT’S a real seasonal special, an autumn concert guaranteed to put a touch of brightness into these long dark evenings.

Marsh Ladies’ Choir returns to the North Light Gallery at Armitage Bridge next weekend to sing Music for an Autumn Evening. The choir will be conducted by its musical director Ian Abbott with accompanist Kim Kaye.

Joining the choir on Saturday October 17 are special guests are The Suzuki Players under the leadership of Caroline Goddard. The guest compère is Raymond Ellis.

The concert begins at 7.15pm and admission is £7 per person at the door or telephone 01484 711633 for tickets.

Kirklees’ Mayor, Clr Julie Stewart Turner, is expected to attend. Proceeds from the concert are the choir’s charity of the year, the Hollybank Trust, Mirfield. There will be a wine bar and raffle.
