HE’S a man of many talents – and he’s heading for Huddersfield.

Mark Thomas (right) – comic, activist and occasional changer of laws will perform at the Lawrence Batley Theatre on March 27.

He comes to the LBT with a new drum to bang – the recession.

In 2007 he took on Gordon Brown and the laws on demonstrating around Parliament.

In 2008 he took on Coca Cola in his book Belching out the Devil.

Now, with his set The Stupid Economy, he attempts to answer some of the more pressing questions about the economy.

But it’s not a show of doom and gloom – this is politics delivered in a witty, humour-filled fashion. If economics had been this fun at school, maybe we would all have paid attention!

The show starts at 7.30pm.Tickets are £14 or £10 for concessions. Call 01484 430528.

Tickets for fairytale classic The Elves and The Shoemaker at the Lawrence Batley Theatre have sold out. Object Dart’s adaptation of the Brothers Grimm story is playing at the Cellar Theatre on March 28 at 11am and 2pm.
