THEY have been staging comedy for over a year now but Huddersfield Laughter Lounge continues to present acts who are new to the area.

He might not have played the Lounge before but Tim Clark will be well known to anyone who loves comedy.

Tim is seen as one of the forefathers of modern comedy and was one of the first comics to appear at the London Comedy Store alongside Alexi Sayle and Ben Elton.

He’s at the Laughter Lounge, Viaduct Street, tomorrow as part of a comedy bill which should have something for everyone.

Gary Delaney, who shares the billing is, by comparison, a relative newcomer to the touring circuit which he has been appearing on for eight years.

He’s a hard-hitting deliverer of the sort of one-liners you just wish you could remember.

Cheshire’s Phil Ellis has the job of holding the middle ground but for a man renowned for reducing crowds to tears with his hysterical ramblings covering everything from owl soup to urban survival that shouldn’t be a problem.

Valiantly keeping order and doing the MC’s job is Rob Riley.
