EXPECT an evening of high emotion on Wednesday when acclaimed dancer Amy Hollingsworth makes one of her final appearances on stage.

Award-winning Amy will retire at the end of Bonachela Dance Company’s current tour.

The company is at the Lawrence Batley Theatre on March 24 with a performance of the company’s latest show, The Land Of Yes and The Land Of No.

Once the tour ends, Amy Hollingsworth is returning to her native Australia to take up the role of dance director with Sydney Dance Company.

Currently based in London, Amy trained at the Australian Ballet School and began dancing in the UK with Rambert Dance Company where Rafael Bonachela was associate choreographer.

When Spanish-born Rafael formed his own company five years ago, Amy was one of its founder members.

She is one of six dancers performing in this latest piece from Raphael which uses the literal directions that surround our lives as the inspiration for a modern dance piece. One way, no entry, merge, stop.

The piece has an original score by Italian composer Ezio Bosso.

The performance begins at 7.30pm.
