MUSIC ranging from Bach to the Beatles is on offer next week in a concert at Salendine Nook Baptist Church.

The concert by the Wakefield-based St Raphael Singers is on October 25 and is the latest in a series run by the church.

The singers were formed more than 40 years ago and continue to be conducted by Joyce Sale.

This is a mixed, adult choir which takes its name from St Raphael’s, the chapel at Pinderfields Hospital where the choir is based.

The choir has 46 members and rehearses at St Raphael’s every Wednesday singing a mix of music to suit most tastes including pieces by Bach, show tunes plus traditional and popular songs.

The singers give concerts at a number of venues around the area but their visit to Salendine Nook will be its first. The concert begins at 7.30pm, tickets in advance by phone on 01484 655749 or on the door.
