EIGHTIES legends Go West are heading to Holmfirth Picturedrome on their latest tour.

The band will play the Holmfirth venue tonight and they are back with new material and plenty of chance for fans to hear just the songs that they want.

Go West have a new album, Futurenow, which comes out on March 2 and a single Man On Fire, released on April 6.

The tour has an interactive feel. Before each gig, each member of the crowd is given a list of songs, which they pick one track from along with a dedication.

Singer Peter Cox and guitarist Richard Drummie then choose 12 songs and dedications to perform.

Go West had major success worldwide with songs such as Top 5 hit ‘We Close Our Eyes’ and ‘King Of Wishful Thinking’, from the soundtrack of film Pretty Woman.

Their self titled debut album GO WEST sold 1.5 million copies worldwide and, in 1986, they won a BRIT Award for ‘Best British Newcomer'.

Last year, Peter recorded a Motown album and Richard took part in a major Trek to The Lost World in Venezuela, together with Tony Hadley and Martin Fry of ABC, in aid of Action Medical Research.

Pete has continued to work on his solo career alongside Go West with the release of Motor City Music a collection of Motown Classics.

Tickets for the gig cost £18 and are available from 01484 689759.
