THE award-winning Hepworth Band join forces with Huddersfield Choral Society for an evening of entertainment.

They’ll stage A Night at the Classics – the centrepiece of the band’s 2010 concert series.

And their set will prove a hit with music lovers.

The band’s programme will include Verdi’s overture The Force of Destiny, Capriccio Espagnol, Rusalka’s Song to the Moon and the finale from Stravinsky’s Firebird.

The choral society includes the Gloria from Bach’s Mass in D Minor, two spirituals from A Child of our Time and Elgar’s Give Unto The Lord in their programme.

The band and choral society will also be joining forces to perform well loved classics The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, the Anvil Chorus, Hallelujah Chorus and Handel’s Zadok the Priest.

The special concert will take place at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday, September 25, at 7.30pm.
