FANS of the King are in for a treat in Dewsbury next week, though they may think that they are seeing double.

For there will not be just one Elvis impersonator in town but two. Too much of a good thing you might think, but not for those who love the music of Elvis.

A Tribute To Elvis is at Dewsbury Town Hall next Friday at 8pm.

There are Elvis impersonators the world over, but next Friday brings two of the best to Kirklees.

Steve Preston once had to cut short a tour of America after receiving an invitation to become the first ever tribute artist to appear on a Royal Variety Performance.

Steve has toured worldwide the USA and New Zealand in the award-winning Legends show and played some of this country’s top venues.

Joining Steve on stage will be Huddersfield’s own Chris Connor who was crowned European Elvis Champion at this year’s Images of the King contest – beating 29 other Elvis contenders in one of the biggest and most respected Elvis contests in Europe.

Chris will join Steve again to take part in the World’s Greatest Elvis Concert alongside The Sweet Inspirations (Elvis’s backing singers) and D J Fontana who was the King’s drummer.

That show will tour major venues including the Manchester Apollo and Harrogate International Centre.

Tickets are £10 from Dewsbury Town Hall box office on 01924 324 501.
