Live bands, outdoor bar and barbecue, bouncy castle and face painting. Bands include The Alternative, Naughty Dog, Wingbeat and Strap On Jack!

Shelley Trolley Dash 2015

The Flying Ferret, Shelley, from noon, fundraising for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice

The annual Shelley Trolley Dash — 10 bars and eight and a half miles of fundraising fun for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice. A fun day at the Flying Ferret begins at noon, the race begins at 1pm.

Wrestlebration 7

John Smith's Stadium, Stadium Way, Huddersfield, 2pm, Adults £10, under 14s £7, family ticket (two adult two children) £30

Stars of UK wrestling will compete at the annual Wrestlebration, now in its seventh year. With various title and stipulation matches on the cards, this is one of the most prestigious events on the UK wresting calendar.

Meet Fireman Sam at the Leisure Exchange

The Leisure Exchange, Bradford, 11am-3.30pm (appearances at 11am, noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm), free

Every child's favourite fireman will spend the day meeting and greeting his young fans and posing for photos. A must-do for every Fireman Sam fanatic!

City Beach

Millennium Square, Leeds, 10.30am-7pm, Saturday-Monday, free entry but charges for some activities

Millenium Square has been transformed into a sandy beach for a fun family day out. Visitors can enjoy rides, stalls, trampolines, a beach slide, beach games and summer tunes from Heart's City Beach Radio. There's also seaside sweets, ice cream and a barbecue.
