Shepherds with teatowels on their heads, a doll playing the baby Jesus, singing Away in a Manger — nothing says Christmas like a school nativity!

And the tradition has got more and more creative over the years, with spacemen, animals and other unusual characters joining the narrative.

It reminded us of the scene in Love Actually, where a child is chosen to play a 'lobster' in her nativity:

And of course, it wouldn't be a nativity if there wasn't at least one disaster on stage.

Whether the scenery fell down, your costume fell apart or Joseph point blank refused to go on stage, we want to hear your school nativity memories!
