Fancy becoming the next Andy Warhol?
You can try out the pop artist's screen printing technique at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop (WYPW), Mirfield, as part of Print Day in May this Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
The event also features a printmaking demonstration using etching techniques, a drop in workshop with artist Saba Rifat who will also be signing copies of her art activity book, Geometric Skies, inspired by Islamic patterns, and the chance to meet WYPW's resident artists and take a look inside their studios.
Visitors to the gallery can see the studio holders' exhibition, Process and Practice, which gives people the change to see how they work and get involved in activities.
Process and Practice runs every day this week from 10.30am to 6pm, and on Print Day in May on Saturday from 10.30am-3pm.
This week's events include:
Artist Talk - Liadin Cooke, Wednesday May 4, 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
Frottage - Graphite rubbings from paper stencils, with artist Jenny Thomas, Friday May 6, 1pm-4pm.
