THIS year’s Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival is taking place from November 16 to 25.

There will be 50 concerts, 30 world premieres and 50 UK premieres.

It begins with the popular Dutch event Night Of The Unexpected at Bates Mill on Friday 16th November.

Other highlights include three concerts from avant-garde guitarist Fred Frith, collaborations with the Cut & Splice and Ultrasound Festivals, a sound installation from Janek Schafer in Huddersfield Art Gallery and special electro-acoustic walks round Huddersfield.
