New Celebrity Big Brother housemate Janice Dickinson declared Austin Armacost a 'traitor' after he said he enjoys the UK more than then US.
The former supermodel said Austin, who lives in Huddersfield with his British husband Jake Lees, had offended her by criticising America.
Austin angered Janice in last night's show when he said: "My husband's British, I've been here for six years... I feel a bit more British than I do American."
She said: "You're a traitor, you're a traitor!"
"I'm not mad at you I just don't think anyone should ever put down the United States, ever."
But Austin stood his ground to defend his adopted new home.
"I enjoy the UK more than I do America... that's just fact," he said.
"I didn't mean to sl*g off America, like massively."
But Janice wasn't budging either.
She said: "You did. I was a little offended, I mean that's not right."
Austin then explained he preferred the UK due to the struggle for gay rights in America.
He said: "In the last 5 years that I've been here I've been going back and forth and the whole gay rights movement, that sh*t drives me crazy in America.
"Because I'm gay and married to a Brit and I had to move here because America wouldn't let him move there."
But Janice accused him of 'just putting down America'.
Austin said: "I'm not coming in saying I'm like, Team UK. I was born in America."
The pair then bickered about gay rights activism and how much they had done to support the cause, before the argument reached an unusual truce.

Janice told Austin she was old enough to be his mother, before asking him what his star sign was.
"Aries," Austin said.
"Well, we're compatible," she replied.
This year's Celebrity Big Brother has not been short of controversy since its launch on Thursday night.
American contestant Tila Tequila was removed from the house after just a day after a 2013 blog post in which she defended Adolf Hitler resurfaced online.
