Just like last week’s Le Week-End, this new relationships’ drama is unlikely to find a big  audience.

Which says a lot about the way British audiences have been conditioned to feed off special  effects-driven blockbusters.

But fans of James Gandolfini might well want to see the late star’s penultimate film right where  it belongs – on the big screen.

As one of his best feature roles since The Last Castle (2001), we watch this knowing it could  – and should – have set him up for further successes in the post-Sopranos’ era.

Written and directed by Nicole Holofcener (Friends With Money), it’s the story of a masseuse  called Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

Eva finds a new client called Marianne (Catherine Keener) at a party, but without realising she also clicks with Marianne’s ex-husband  Albert (Gandolfini).

Enough Said is a lesson in learning to be true to yourself if you want to create lasting  relationships that are not compromised by others.

While a touch far-fetched, this is primarily a genuine and funny attempt to underwrite universal family values within the ebb and flow of our daily lives  which can be punctured by landmark events like daughters leaving home for university.

With a cheeky grin never far from Albert’s lips, his fellow stars might well find this almost unbearably hard to watch just four  months after Gandolfini’s death.
