Huddersfield cricketer Max Morley is still living the Love Island dream.

The 22-year-old former Huddersfield New College Academy student survived being given the boot by the ITV2 programme’s audience in the first public vote of the series.

And his friends are now plotting his next move on Twitter after his most recent love interest Naomi Ball was given her marching orders.

His friends Jack Smith and Niall Simpson are posting regular updates via his account @maxmorley1 since he arrived on a Mediterranean island over two weeks ago.

The pair have asked Twitter users who he should pair up with next, with his first dilemma being between Naomi and glamour model Jessica Hayes.

Questioned by another Twitter user why Naomi had got a lot of abuse for coupling up with Max despite his links to Jess when he hadn’t come in for criticism, his friends simply replied “Max just gets lad points.”

Max Morley on Love Island

They described the show as just “getting better and better”.

The show has brought 12 single people together on a sun-kissed island with the winner set to collect £50,000.

Max is a professional cricketer and former player for Durham County Cricket Club, after starting his career at Holmfirth.

He told show bosses that after dating Miss Newcastle for eight months, he “always live life to the Max”.

What type of girl is Max looking for? “Blondes, blondes, blondes!” he proudly declared, as long as they don’t give him any “banter”, which apparently would be his worst nightmare.

And one of his first tweets by his friends referred to his mum back at home, simply saying “#Sorry mum”.

He has been quoted saying his parents had been a ‘little bit shocked’ when he told them he would appear on the show but he went on tell them they did not have to watch it.

The next public vote will take place in several days time and votes can be placed by downloading the Love Island app.
