Burger King has returned to Huddersfield — and been welcomed with open arms.
Examiner readers were over the moon to learn that the fast food chain would be part of the Packhorse Kitchen , alongside El Taco Loco Mexican, Rooster’s southern fried chicken and the Real cafe and bar.
The former Burger King restaurant closed its doors in Huddersfield in October 2013 — and news of the restaurant's comeback was celebrated on Facebook and Twitter last night.

The new branch could also serve alcohol in the near future, giving customers the option to enjoy an American beer with their burger.
A Burger King branch in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, has been granted an license to serve alcohol, and restaurants in Hull, Blackpool and Newcastle Under-Lyme have applied for permission to serve alcohol from their local councils.
On Facebook, Ke Ackroyd said: "Best day of my life."

Burger King closed its restaurant on the corner of King Street and Cross Church Street in 2013 and was replaced with a Morrisons store, much to the anguish of customers.
