  2. Enjoy some music - It's not all about the food and drink (well it is, but there are some fun extras too). Festival at Dusk will bring a party atmosphere to the square on Friday and Saturday night, with local acts lined up including The Voice star Georgia Harrup. On Sunday visitors can enjoy more relaxed entertainment with the Huddersfield Community Gospel Choir and the Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra. Click here for the full Festival at Dusk line-up.
  3. Work on your inner chef - Budding Jamie's and Delia's can brush up their cooking skills with a whole host of live cooking demonstrations by featured chefs and food producers attending the festival. 4. Enjoy a tipple - You won't go thirsty with the myriad of drinks stalls at this year's festival, from real ales to cocktails, speciality coffees to cordials and more. Huddersfield pubs will be running stalls over the weekend, you'll never be too far from a locally-brewed real ale or cider, and for the posher drinkers among you, there's also a stall offering prosecco and Pimms on tap. Cheers! Click here for a full list of the drinks stalls at this year's event.

  5. Get the kids involved - The Kids' Zone has a whole range of activities for youngsters across the four-day festival - from pasta making to chocolate crafts to making art from recycled materials and vegetables! In addition, there will be face painting and live street entertainment - making the festival a fun-filled day out for all the family. Click here for the Kids' Zone schedule.
  6. Support local producers - Meat and real ales from Holmfirth, chilli jam from Leeds, cheese from Halifax, ice cream from Denby Dale - the best of local produce will be showcased at this year's festival, with other businesses from across Yorkshire joining the fun. Sample local delicacies, stock up on meat, cheese, oils, liqueurs and more, safe in the knowledge you're boosting the local economy. Win win!
  7. Treat your sweet tooth - Make sure you save room for dessert - there's plenty of choice! From ice creme to crepes, traditional sweets to cupcakes and frozen yoghurt, make sure you treat yourself to a delicious dessert as you wander around the festival. There's even a Huddersfield cake company that received backing on Dragon's Den! Click here to find out who it is and read about the rest of the dessert stalls.

  8. Take home some souvenirs - As well as sampling the delights of the festival across the weekend, why not take some tasty treats home with you? Cheeses, breads, exotic meats, oils, liqueurs and chocolates are just some of the luxuries you can stock up on at the festival - then you can relive your foodie adventure in your own kitchen. Yum!

  9. Send us your selfies - Show us what you're scoffing (or buying) with a food festival selfie and send it to us via Facebook, Twitter or email (Samantharobinson@trinitymirror.com). Found the best ice cream flavour ever invented? Let us know! Want to show us the tasty Mongolian stir fry you've just bought? Strike a pose with your dinner and send us a picture. We'll put the best ones into a gallery for the website.

  10. Continue the fun - The festival ends on Sunday, but the foodie fun doesn't have to end there. Huddersfield Railway Station is hosting art exhibition A Visual Feast until August 31, featuring mouth-watering works, and the Huddersfield Real Ale Trail around the town centre will run until August 10.
