Never mind espresso, macchiato, frappe, latte... what's wrong with a normal cup of coffee?

That's the question posed by Longwood man Al Terry, who has designed a brilliant guide to fancy coffee for International Coffee Day — in true 'Uddersfield style.

Read Al's 'Guide to Fancie Coffee':

The guide dismisses pumpkin spice lattes, popular in the US, as the equivalent of 'pouring coffee on a turnip'.

It also jokes about the price of coffee shop cuppas and the length of time it takes to make them.

Al, 35, said: "I'm strictly a blue Kenco in my favourite normal sized mug kinda guy."

When asked what inspired the guide, he added: "Let's just blame caffiene."

A locksmith and safe engineer by day, Al also blogs at Fudgecrumpet.com.

What do you think? Do you enjoy a posh coffee or should we go back to basic cuppas?
