It's National Fish and Chip Day today (Friday).
The day, organised by the National Edible Oil Distributors Association (NEODA), celebrates the iconic dish as well as the people who bring it to your table from the fishers to the fishmongers to the fish and chips shops.
So what are you going to have for tea? Pizza? Curry? Southern fried chicken?
Don't be daft – treat yourself to some fish and chips.
But you don't want any old fish and chips. You want prime cod or haddock in crispy batter and thick cut chips, preferably cooked in beef dripping.
So we asked ExaminerLive readers which chippy serves the best food and you've been letting us know in your hundreds.
We've also scoured Tripadvisor to find out which other Huddersfield fisheries make the grade.
Here they are in alphabetical order.
