A new bar offering fun and games alongside beers, cocktails and food will open for the first time this bank holiday weekend.
Ping pong tables, pool tables, fresh dough pizza and hamburgers are the menu at Roxy Ball Room, the latest addition to Huddersfield’s town centre bar scene.
The new nightspot will open its doors to the public on Saturday night, following a VIP launch on Friday.
Roxy Ball Room, the third of its kind to open, also boasts a large outdoor terrace, cocktails, beers and bar snacks.
Revellers can also try their hand at beer pong - and American game, popular with college students, where opposing teams try to land ping pong balls in cups of beer which their opponents then have to drink.
Ping pong and pool tables can also be booked in advance.
Roxy was brought to Huddersfield by the Jones Bar Group, which refurbished the former Picture House venue in Zetland Street to make room for pool and ping pong tables.
Huddersfield’s Roxy Ball Room will be the second to open in West Yorkshire, with Roxy venues already popular in Leeds and Liverpool.
Managing director Matthew Jones said: “Being Yorkshire born and bred we visit Huddersfield regularly on a night out and love how vibrant it is. We believe Roxy Ball Room will fit in perfectly and offer something new to the community.”
The official opening is on Saturday - but those keen to get a sneak peek can sign up to attend A VIP opening night on Friday.
Submit your name and email address via the online form on the Roxy Ball Room website (www.roxyballroom.co.uk) to experience Roxy Ball Room Huddersfield before its official opening.
Jones Bar Group owns ten restaurants and bars, the majority in Leeds City Centre. Roxy Ball Room Liverpool was the tenth venue opened by brothers Matthew and Ben Jones in February.
Hundreds attended the Liverpool launch party, while the Leeds venue has a four-star rating on TripAdvisor.
