THE second volume of epic historical fiction set in the world of Ancient Greece and Alexander the Great.

The exiled mercenary Kineas of Athensis now the leader of a combined force of Greek cavalry and tribesmen of the steppes. He crosses the Sea of Grass with his Amazon warrior wife Srayanka to join the hordes waiting to face the invading armies of Alexander in the East.

The author has picked a forgotten part of history and brought it to life with wonderful characters and amazingly vivid battle scenes. This does not have the same pace as the first Tyrant novel and the vast array of characters is sometimes bewildering but it still packs a heavyweight punch. Philokles the Spartan remains at the side of Kineas, old heroes die and new ones arise in a story that is sweeping, powerful and provides a fresh look at the past.
