AN unusual drama combining psychology and Charles Dickens is coming to the Peacock Lounge.

Leeds-based Green Cat Theatre Company will stage its first production, The Man Who Thought He was Dickens, at the venue on Viaduct Street, Huddersfield, on April 3 (9pm).

As the name suggests, the show is about a hospital patient who thinks he is the famous writer.

The story deals with parallels between creativity and madness, plus Dickens’ close friendship with opium addict writer Wilkie Collins.

Tickets cost £5 or £4 for concessions, from the venue on 01484 432328.
