If your sense of humour is tickled by The League of Gentlemen, Peter Cook, Big Train or The Day Today, then there’s a show in Halifax tomorrow that could be just the thing.

The Land of Nod at 7.30pm is a quick-fire sketch show which is at the Square Chapel Arts Centre as part of the Halifax Festival.

This is a show which promises a laugh a minute, where the audience can stamp their feet to the Morrissey Dancers, run for their lives from Robotkillercino and sing along to the grand finale of a new soap, Down the Lane.

The cast are Karen Blick whose credits include Emmerdale and No Angels, Simon Lacy who appeared in Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Kay Mellor’s Strictly Confidential plus Mike Nelson who is the writer as well as performer.

Last year the company received four star reviews for its debut performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and they have recently performed at festivals in Hebden bridge and Manchester.

Tickets for The Land of Nod are £11 and £9 concessions from the festival box office on 01422 349422 or at www.halifaxfestival.co.uk
