Crowds enjoyed watching sheepdogs in action at the weekend.

The annual Harden Moss Sheepdog Trials saw dozens of dogs competing in a variety of different categories.

Hundreds of people flocked to the land off Greenfield Road above Holmfirth for the popular show, now in its 105th year.

The weekend long event kicked off on Friday with sheepdogs moving sheep around the field, fences and enclosures, directed by their handlers.

On Saturday the dog heats continued with a sheep sheering demonstration and fell race, which was won by Mike Fanning.

The Mayor of Kirklees, Clr Jim Dodds, was on hand to judge the best in show pet dog and hand out awards.

Members also said goodbye to Carl Woodhead, a longstanding committee member of the Harden Moss trials.

His wife Margaret unveiled a special plaque dedicated to him.

There was also a variety of entertainment and stalls.

The final day saw fun in the form of a shearing competition and sheep show.

Some vintage tractors then set off through the Holme Valley.

Participants took in a scenic route as they chugged through areas including Meltham, Marsden, Diggle, over Saddlewoth and back into Harden Moss.
