HUDDERSFIELD Laughter Lounge makes a return on Saturday, March 28.
The Peacock Lounge on Viaduct St is playing host to the night, which features Liverpudlian-in- exile Silky and Markus Birdman.
Silky has been a full-time comedian since 1997.
Silky has performed internationally, including gigs in China, the Philippines, the Gulf, Singapore, the US, the Melbourne Comedy Festival and all over Europe, including the Glastonbury Festival.
A tall, versatile, funny and very likeable performer, he has been described as ‘brilliant’ and ‘born funny’.
Markus Birdman first took to the stage as a performance poet, but quickly became aware that audiences were laughing.
So he swapped the verse for gags and entered the ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ competition.
He did think he was funny – and it turned out he was right. He has been winning comedy fans ever since.
As a vicar’s son, he uses religion irreverently and to witty effect in his shows.
Also performing will be hotly-tipped newcomer Jonathon Elston and compere Rob Riley.
This show sells out every month, so get tickets early from the venue, Sleepers Bar, Wall Of Sound Records or by calling 01484 432328.
They are priced £10.
Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.30pm start.
