Angela Griffin was born in Leeds in 1976, and now lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, Jason and their children, Tallulah Jae and Melissa.

She rose to fame as Fiona Middleton in Coronation Street, and has also appeared in Holby City, Cutting It and Waterloo Road. Her new series, Boy Meets Girl, can be seen later this year.

If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be? My husband, Jason. It would be nice to have a bit of time together.

What is your biggest fear? My children growing up too quickly. Any kind of dangers to them really. All my fears come down to my kids.

Do you have any superstitions? Just superstitions my dad instilled into me, like: 'Don't put new shoes on the table.' Even though I know it's all pooh, if I buy a new pair of shoes I still can't put them on the table.

If you could only have one song on your iPod, what would it be? Dusty Springfield, The Look of Love. It was my first dance with my husband, and my daughter Tallulah absolutely loves Dusty Springfield.

What's the most expensive item you've ever bought, not including property or cars? A Balenciaga bag after the birth of my first daughter as a special present for myself.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given? Always have your bus fare home.

When was the last time you cried and why? Three days ago I wanted to come home, because we'd just been on holiday to Greece for 10 days. On the eighth day I wanted to come home, because I'm a proper homebody. My husband thought I was insane.

What's your indulgence? Going out and eating beautiful, gorgeous food, or making it at home.

How environmentally friendly are you? On a level of one to 10? I'd say five. I've got very good intentions and I do all my recycling at home.

How many texts do you send in a day? It ranges from none to maybe three or four.

Who's the most famous person in your mobile? Max Beesley.

What item could you not live without? My Blackberry.

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? My shoe size. I'm a size nine and I'd be happy with a six.

Where are you going on holiday? We've been on two this year, Center Parcs and Greece, and I haven't got any more in the pipeline.

What were you doing this time yesterday? I was walking around in a daze as I'd been up for 20 hours having come back from Greece.

What will you be doing this time tomorrow? I will be making a robot out of toilet rolls and cereal packets that my daughter's managed to collect.
